Alpha-2 Black market service building in the Miraleth node.[1]
Marketplaces don't normally come with a Black market and it's a part of the expansion tree. So it's a choice you can make on your marketplace to be a where bandits take their stuff.[1] – John Collins
Black markets are available through upgrades/expansions to marketplace service buildings.[1][2]
- Players are able to redeem stolen glint and stolen commodities at black markets.[3][2]
Black market vendors
- Black market vendors are NPCs at black markets.[1]
List of black market vendors
Stolen commodities

Looting stolen commodities from a commodities crate following a successful caravan raid in Alpha-2.[5]
Looting commodities from caravan (and merchant ship wreckages) will convert them into stolen commodities (also referred to as Stolen goods).[3][6][7][2]
- When you crack open a crate of commodities you don't get the commodities themselves, since they're crated cargo items, you actually get stolen goods and you can use those stolen commodity certificates to go and turn them into a black market to get some money back.[3] – John Collins
- Stolen commodities yield a lesser value than the original commodities and can only be exchanged at nodes that have opted to construct a black market service building.[3][6][7][2]
- To retain the original value of the commodities in caravan wreckages, players must summon an empty caravan from a nearby node to collect and transport them.[6][8][9]
Stolen glint
- Glint looted from a dead character by any other player, regardless of affiliation, becomes stolen glint. Character's who loot their own bodies will recover their glint in its non-stolen state.[10][2][11]
- Glint taken from caravan wreckages also becomes stolen glint.[7]
- Stolen glint can be redeemed for a lesser value (than the original glint) at black market locations.[7][2]
Stolen resources
Resources taken from caravan wreckages (and merchant ship wreckages) become stolen resources.[9]
